Paul shows us how to properly do Bench Press workout nicknamed "Normal Negative Normal" as part of the DreamBody Challenge. A "negative rep" is a rep that involves loading a weight movement only in the "down" phase. For example, in a negative bench press rep, you would lower the weight down from the top, rather than start by pushing it up. In this exercise, our Calgary fitness client Terry demonstrates negative and normal reps with the same weight, but you can also start building strength by using a heavier weight for your negative reps--as long as you have a personal trainer or a well-trained fitness partner spotting you.
